Home-schooling and NHS Eyecare

December 14, 2018

Our priority is your eyecare. Over the last few weeks we have introduced you to the diverse services we offer in store aimed at engaging every member of our community. And one of our passions is offering eyecare and maintaining eye health for children of school age. FREE NHS eyecare is available to all school age children in full time education, and this includes home-schooled children.

All children should have an eye test at least once a year even if they do not need spectacles.

Home schooling has increased by 40% over the last 3 years and that includes within our community. We specialise in offering eye tests to children from age 2 upwards and we use a variety of specialist tools to make the eye test as accessible as possible. We also love engaging with our younger clients!

If your child uses online support with their home schooling, please read our eyecare tips for children when using digital devices.

We have a lovely selection of NHS and private spectacles available in store plus branded collections such as Nano Vista and Wills.

We still have limited appointment times available Thursday 20th December - Saturday 22nd December so if you if you wish to book an eye test for your child, please call 02087599395 before the Christmas holidays start in earnest!
