As a busy IT consultant, I spend a lot of time working on computer screens so when my eyes started to itch and water recently I needed a quick diagnosis and fix to ensure I could continue to work.

A visit to Cranford Opticians proved to be a really good choice. After a thorough examination, I was pleased to be told that there was no major problem and a course of dry eye treatment involving a heated eye mask, cleansing wipes and eye drops would improve things within a week or so.

They also recommended new glasses for use with the screen, with filtering for damaging blue light that can cause the type of dry eye problem I was getting.

Just a couple of weeks later my eye health is much better and the glasses they made for me have greatly reduced the tiredness I often get after a long session on the screen

I am extremely pleased with the quality of service and advice I received and will thoroughly recommend the Cranford team to anyone needing top quality eye care.

If you need a trustworthy and reliable optician ( and most people will at some point in their life) then there is only one name that will do: Cranford Opticians.
A regular eye test back in July highlighted a few issues: a need for my prescription glasses to be changed, a need to undergo a course of dry eye treatment and a potential medical issue that had not really worried me before but clearly needed to be checked out with an ophthalmologist doctor.

Following the eye test and a look at the back of the eye, I made an appointment to see the ophthalmologist doctor and eventually after a few weeks saw the doctor and was checked out and the medical issue diagnosed satisfactorily, the result being that I am due for a further check-up three months after that appointment.

After having had the result of the diagnosis, over the course of the next few months my prescriptions for my glasses were updated and I also acquired a set of bifocals which meant that I did not need to keep taking my reading glasses on and off when I wanted to watch TV or walkabout. Coupled with the course of dry eye treatment I am now feeling more confident about my eyes.

The level of service and attention to detail plus sound advice throughout these months from Shivani and her colleagues at Cranford Opticians is something I cannot but fail to recommend to anyone who has any concerns about their eyes as you will be looked after with a great deal of professionalism and respect.

Thank you, Shivani!

I recently visited Cranford Opticians for my annual check-up. I saw Nila, who was very thorough and extremely knowledgeable. I was suffering from dry and itchy eyes, which she quickly diagnosed and recommended a course of treatment for, which cleared up the problem in a matter of weeks.

She also recommended I have an OCT scan, which is a photographic examination of the retina and the structure of the eye. I got the all-clear, but she did notice that I need to increase my intake of fruit and vegetables to maintain my ocular health. I’ll be going back again in three months to make sure that everything is as it should be.

I would thoroughly recommend Cranford Opticians. A friendly and professional team, fantastic service, a great range of fashionable frames and state-of-the-art lenses. But most of all, they really care about their clients.
