Advice for an eye injury or emergency:

If you are experiencing an eye injury, your first action is to seek immediate medical attention. This is because there are many different types of eye injuries, and it is important to know how serious it is in order to have it treated properly.

One of the most important things that you can do if you have an eye injury is to protect your eyes from further damage. Do not rub your eyes or remove contact lenses. One of the worst things that you can do if you have an eye injury is to rub or touch your eye.

Rubbing your eye can result in more damage to your eye and affect your vision. Rubbing causes the cornea to swell and this can cause permanent damage. The cornea is the transparent window on the front of the eye which protects the rest of the eye.

Injury can happen to anyone, at any time. It doesn't matter how young or old you are, or how fit you are. It's our goal to help you get back to your normal life as quickly as possible.
