Our Community
Cranford Opticians is involved with the local community in Hounslow in a number of different ways. Nila our Optometrist, represents the Local Optical Committee in the Right to Sight Hounslow Group, which helps people with sight loss to stay as independent as possible. More than half of sight loss is preventable if people have regular eye tests.
Nila is also a member of a sub-group that is trying to implement eye screening for children in aged four and five in the borough. One in five schoolchildren has an undiagnosed vision problem, and this can affect their learning and development. Eye tests are free for children upto 18 years (in full time education) and we have a range of NHS and private frames to choose from.
