Cranford Opticians and SeeAbility
As an inclusive, local, independent optician we think it’s important to offer our service to every member of our community.
That’s why we are proud to announce that we are now registered with SeeAbility as providers of accessible eye care.
Registered as The Royal School for the Blind, SeeAbility began as a charity over 200 years ago. Today SeeAbility provides essential and exemplary support for people with learning disabilities and autism, many of whom have sight loss. SeeAbility is at the forefront of championing better eye care within our communities.
This reflects our own inclusive ethos and the range of specialist services we can offer:
Our shop is accessible, with wheelchair access into both the practise and examination room.
We offer extended appointment times on request and we can offer eye tests split over separate visits, if this makes the test easier for our client.
We use vision charts suitable for those with disabilities
We can offer appointments at quieter times
And we know that an eye test can be a little daunting for some of our clients, so we also offer familiarisation visits prior to testing.
Before you book with us please complete and send us the pre-test form, so we can find out a bit more about you.
If you would like more information, a pre-test form or you wish to book an eye test, please call us on 020 8759 9395. Alternatively, you can book online.
We look forward to hearing from you.
